Day 1: Sat, Oct 15 -- Meteora and Mt. Olympus

Synopsis

We arrived in the Athens Airport late on Friday night, picked up our car and headed north towards Meteora, stopping for a nap on the side of the road on the way. We visited five of the monasteries that are perched high on top (and in some cases on the side) of cliffs. It was a pretty spectacular place. We then drove about 3 hours to Mt. Olympus where we visited some ruins and found a nice hotel in a small mountainside town.
